“He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.” -Psalm 147:3
This last week consisted of our third visit to the Pediatric Cardiologist since our daughter came home in 2011, and as we continue to monitor our little Elli Bug's heart. Shortly after Elli was born, and among some other physical diagnoses, it was discovered that she had a small hole in the upper left chamber of her heart per our referral information. After she arrived home, the cardiologist also discovered a slightly larger one in the lower left chamber as well. However, even with the added discovery, he was very optimistic in her physical well-being, development and recovery. Last week's visit entailed an EKG, and it is still being determined if an additional echo-cardiogram is even necessary at this point, as Elli is showing absolutely no visible signs of distress. The Dr.s own words..."She is a very healthy little girl!" All praise to our Heavenly Father, her little body, mind, and spirit continues to mend from so many early obstacles that this world had inflicted on her right from the start! She is a survivor and a fighter, and her healing heart is a literal translation and representation to us of Psalm 147:3. Her enthusiastic zeal for life continuously ministers to our own hearts in so many antidotal ways as well, and keeps us steadily inspired to "press on toward the goal that is in Christ Jesus!" (Philippians 3:14)
So now, we "press on" to the Pediatric ENT for a third visit this coming week, as we are also keeping track of a very tiny cyst on her throat that we discovered early last year. Even if it comes by way of surgery in the unforeseen future, we are thanking Him in advance for His 'incurable' and limitless healing power over her miraculous little life!
and waited....
and waited....
and then waited some more....
Alas, the EKG and the Dr. visit!!!
Of course, it was nothing that some hot herbal tea at the coffee shop couldn't soothe afterwards!
